Volunteer With Good Neighbors

Help us nourish our neighbors with dignity, care, and respect.

Good Neighbors Food Pantry is powered by community volunteers. Each pantry day, volunteers help create a welcoming, organized, and compassionate experience for neighbors who come to us for food and essential items. Whether you're joining us once, coming every month, or bringing a group, your time makes this work possible.

What volunteering looks like

Hands-on, welcoming, and meaningful

On pantry days, volunteers help us prepare the space, welcome neighbors, organize food and essentials, support neighbors as they shop, restock items, and clean up after service.

You do not need special experience to volunteer. You only need a willingness to serve with kindness, flexibility, and respect for every neighbor who walks through our doors.

On a pantry day, volunteers:

  • Set up and prepare the space
  • Welcome neighbors at the door
  • Organize food and essential items
  • Support neighbors as they shop
  • Restock tables throughout service
  • Clean up after the pantry closes

How we serve

Rooted in dignity

Good Neighbors Food Pantry is rooted in dignity. We ask every volunteer to help us create an environment where neighbors feel respected, welcomed, and supported.

This is not just about distributing food. It's about showing our neighbors that they matter. Volunteers who join us regularly often grow into more responsibility over time — if you'd like to get more involved, just let us know.

Bring a group

Good Neighbors welcomes community groups, local businesses, student groups, faith communities, and neighbors who want to serve together.

For group volunteering, please contact us in advance so we can plan for the right number of volunteers and assign work where it's most helpful.
